The Patient Advice and Liaison Service, known as PALS is part of the Government's commitment to ensuring that the NHS listens to patients and uses their voice to develop services which work in the best way for those who use them.
The PALS is one of the services Ashton, Leigh and Wigan PCT NHS Trust offers to help patients tell us of their experiences so that we can learn from you to change and improve the services we provide to best meet your needs.
If matters are not satisfactorily resolved then the PALS Service can advise on making a formal complaint, on where to seek specialist advice or independant advocacy.
PALS is here to help you, particularly with any difficulties you may have with services provided by:
- Family Doctors (GPs), Dentists, Opticians and Pharmacists
- The Primary Care Trust itself
- Refer you to a specific local and national based support agencies including self-help groups and other information providers
